"I believe that every design solution should be the harmonious culmination of the client's individual requirements, specifications and uniqueness."

I approach every design project with a clear open mind. It is not until I have a well-defined understanding of the client's needs that I start to design.

About Me

I have been working in the design industry for over 14 years. During this I time, I have had the pleasure of working with many great clients ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies. While my core expertise is in Web Design and Interactive Media, I also do a fair amount of Print and Identity Design.

Design Approach

I do not believe in canned solutions. Every project has a unique set of requirements and every client has a unique vision.

Through a series of questionnaires and interviews, I try to gain a clear understanding of the client's history, their current strategy and their vision for the future. It is not until I have a solid understanding of their requirements and vision that I start to develop a solution. The end result is a product that is both unique and congruous to their needs.

Technical Skills

I tend to be a bit conservative with regards to self evaluation. When I rate my skill level, I am comparing myself to the top professionals in the field.

Background

Well... I guess it all started when I was just a kid. While all my friends had coloring books, my parents (who were both artists) would buy me sketch books. Don't stay within the lines... create your own. As a result I was encouraged to express myself, even if it went against the grain.

This ultimately led me to college with a major in fine arts. After a couple of years of college, I started to question the possibilities for employment as a fine artist and whether I would be able to repay my student loans. I took some time off from college studies and worked a number jobs -- from construction to bartending. Eventually, I realized that I needed to do something creative. At the time, the Web was just starting to blossom. I was intrigued by the whole concept of interactive content and animation. This inspired me to go back to college and get a diploma in Graphic Design and Computer Graphics from Platt College.
